Pepper is a sweet calm dog who was surrendered to a shelter through no fault of her own - her owners divorced and gave her up.  An easy dog to be around, Pepper enjoys being nearby while you watch TV or eat dinner.  She'll be there in a heartbeat if you call her, but she is unobtrusive and won't cause you any trouble at all.  She is very friendly and enjoys attention and being petted.  She loves to sit at your feet for a scratch on the head.

Pepper is house trained and gets along well with both dogs and cats.  Although she is good with other dogs, she prefers her companions to be older/calmer dogs like herself rather than boisterous young dogs.  Pepper was pretty heavy and out of shape when she was surrendered.  She has gotten into better shape and lost some weight since then, but she could still stand to lose some more weight and perhaps build up to getting a little exercise each day.

Pepper has a lot of years left to love another family.  She will make you glad you opened your home to her.  She doesn't need training or entertaining.  She will fit herself into your life seemlessly and provide great companionship.
