Hope Humane Society is a no-kill, volunteer rescue group. Our goal is to find loving forever homes for abandoned and homeless dog and cats. Your adoption of one of these animals helps not only the animal, but you also. Spending time with pets can reduce stress and bring joy to your life. HHS wants to make sure the pet you choose is a fit with you and your family. That’s why we bring the pet to your home for you to make a final decision. To be sure our furry friends don’t end up in homes that do not fit them, we have an application process to adopt rescued dogs and cats.
Not ready to commit? Think about Fostering.
1. Fill out the online application or print it and bring to and Adopt-a -Pet (on Events page)
2. HHS will review application and obtain a vet reference.
3. An HHS volunteer will bring the adoptable pet(s) to your home to meet your family including current pets.
4. If everyone agrees that this pet is a match for you and your family the adoption is finalized at that time.
Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Applicants are usually contacted within 2 days. Please be patient; HHS is an all volunteer organization.
*HHS reserves the right to refuse any adoption anytime* All Dogs adopted from Hope Humane Society:
All Cats adopted from Hope Humane Society:
*When adopting a Puppy and Kitten too young to Spay/Neuter the adopter signs a spay/neuter contract and gives the HHS a separate check for $150. This check is NOT cashed. It is held with the contract until spay/neuter proof is given to HHS. Upon proof of Spay/Neuter, the uncashed check is returned to the adopter. The cost of the procedure is covered by HHS when done by one of our participating veterinarians.
