Volunteer

Hope Humane Society is a 100% volunteer organization. None of our people are paid.  Our volunteers are animal lovers just like you.  Most have full-time jobs and families… And we need your help.

We need people who want to help improve the lives of abandoned pets. It can be as little as a couple hours per month!

What can YOU do to help?

Operations

Can't adopt or foster but want to help out?  Please consider helping with one of the following :

• Vet Checks - calls vet offices to obtain a vet reference on applicants 
• Home Visits - Stop by applicants homes  for a quck visit.  We provide a basic checklist and you can come on a few home visits with us to learn what to look for so we can provide the correct info to make the adoption successful.
• Data Entry - We need someone to enter animal medical records into our database.  A very easy to learn system.
• Transport - transport animals from shelters/foster homes to vet appointments
• Make Adoption Folders - we give you the supplies, you just have to put together
• Taking pictures and video - We have fosters that don't have access to a digital camera and need help getting pictures and video.
• Posting approved ads on various websites for adoptive and foster homes - Myspace, facebook, craigslist, dogster, catster, etc.
• Adoption Follow ups - Contacting recent adopters to see how things are going and if any help is needed.

Adopt-a-Pet

Work an Adopt-a-Pet. We have at least 2 Adopt-a-Pets a month. We need volunteers to help manage visitors and handling of the animals.   Work as little as 1 hour, or as long as you like.

        Fundraising

We need help raising funds! Do you have the personality that you can ask people and businesses for donations and supplies?  Do you have an idea for fundraising?   WE NEED YOU!  We are looking for someone to head up a fundraising committee and also anyone interested in raising funds!   Please contact us

         Volunteer Coordinator

We are so busy taking care of the animals, we barely have time to even write down what we need help with!  We need someone to help structure and maintain our volunteer program.
